Westbound Amtrak
The train passed by here about 11:30 AM on July 7. That happens to be around the same time that the modern passenger train goes by also. The old steamer was sided at Macon, MT (about 2 miles west), to let the Amtrak pass.
Built in the Art Deco style that was so much in vogue during 1941, when it was manufactured for the Southern Pacific Railroad, the old steamer passed by here July 7, 2009. The train was headed for TrainFestival 2009 in Owosso, Michigan.
