I noticed this @ 9:37 AM Dec. 28, 2007. The northern horizon looked different. The sequence that follows is a typical mirage.

Notice the abrubt edges of the raised horizon and also the wispy look at the edges.
Nearly the maximum of the mirage. East edge turning a bit wispy.
The Mirage has almost disappeared and the northern horizon returned to normal.
