I found a new EZ-Boom at a very good price so decided to install it in my sprayer. The original booms had 13, 5, & 13 tips on 20" spacing for three sections on the boom. The new will have 5, 4, 4, 5, 4, 4, & 5 tips on 20" spacing for seven total sections.

The sprayer came with three electric ball valves that controlled three boom sections. I wanted to add additional valves to control smaller sections. The coupling downstream of the flow control will be removed and replaced with a tee to feed another valve manifold.

The OEM ball valves were turned on and off by reversing polarity of the power wires to them. A few 12V relays were wired up to simulate a DPDT reversing switch by simply applying and removing power to one wire.

Minor modifications to the existing boom plumbing now have two additional feed tees on each boom that will be connected to the new valve bank.

I needed 6 additional wires to run the new 4 valve manifold. This wire has 2 #16 conductors and 6 #18 conductors. 3 Pin Weatherpack connectors will connect it to the new valve sections.

The old valve cover has been lengthened and the front cover moved so it can house the new valve manifold.

New valves mounted, wired, and plumbed. After it has been checked for leaks, I'll install the front cover.
